Senior Tax Accountant - West LA CPA Firm

An established West LA CPA Firm is looking for a Senior Tax Accountant to assist with tax preparation, accounting and planning.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

·       Performing professional tax accounting and financial services for client companies.

·       Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership and trust tax returns.

·       Perform bookkeeping entries, monthly bank reconciliations and generate financial reports using QuickBooks or Datafaction/AgilLink.

·       Process Payroll, Payroll Tax Deposits, and Quarterly Payroll Tax returns.

·       Prepare annual 1099's.

·       Make adjusting journal entries for client bookkeeping including adjusting schedules and reclassifying  expenses.

·       Tax planning and consulting.

·       Examine and interpret financial documents. 

·       Work with internal tax and management company teams within the firm.

Skills and Requirements:

·      A minimum of 5 -7 years experience at a Tax Firm with Business Management company experience a plus. 

·      Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.

·      CPA  or Enrolled Agent a plus.

·      Skills and knowledge in GAAP principles and preparing individual, corporate, partnership, and estate/trust  tax returns. 

·      Understanding of partnerships including partnership agreements, partnership allocations and accounting.

·      Proven competence in Quickbooks, CCH ProSystems. Datafaction and Agilink experience a plus. 

·      Experience with Entertainment and Real Estate clients. 

·      Must be resourceful, able to multitask, and able to work relatively independently to fulfill assigned duties and achieve goals.

·       Payroll processing experience with ADP and Paychex a plus.

·       Experience corresponding directly with clients and vendors.

·       Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
