We are looking for a Finance and NetSuite Specialist to join an innovative start-up medical device manufacturing company.
We’re looking for a skilled Finance and NetSuite Specialist to maximize the benefits of the NetSuite ERP platform, ensuring its smooth operation, adaptability to evolving needs, and alignment with business objectives. This person will be hands-on in optimizing our NetSuite, integrations, automation, processes, and documentation. In addition, this person will be involved in data analysis, financial reporting, and ad hoc reporting. This role will be onsite (San Jose, CA) and will report to the VP Finance.

We’re looking for a skilled Finance and NetSuite Specialist to maximize the benefits of the NetSuite ERP platform, ensuring its smooth operation, adaptability to evolving needs, and alignment with business objectives. This person will be hands-on in optimizing our NetSuite, integrations, automation, processes, and documentation. In addition, this person will be involved in data analysis, financial reporting, and ad hoc reporting. This role will be onsite (San Jose, CA) and will report to the VP Finance.
Responsibilities:
- Dynamic understanding of business processes in the finance and supply chains domain, including but not limited to accounting (AP/AR/Payroll, etc.), finance (planning/budgeting/reporting), distribution, manufacturing, and logistics
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (i.e., executive team, management, and sales team) to gather and document operational and functional requirements and translate requirements into operational solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions to improve supply and demand planning processes, order-to-cash processes, and inventory management
- Support end-user requests for new saved searches, reports, KPI, fields, views, dashboards, and other objects.
- Maintain and create workflows, functions, and configurations within NetSuite
- Fully document existing and new customizations and workflows.
- Configure and customize NetSuite modules, including financials, CRM, project management, Fixed Assets, and inventory.
- Manage day-to-day financial operations and support the users within the NetSuite environment
- Support departments by customization of data for basic reporting tasks and data analysis to assist in decision-making.
- Strong understanding of billing, payments, A/R, general ledger, revenue recognition, planning, audit, and reporting.
- Support the team in creating reports for sales performance analysis.
- Utilize dashboards to enable visualization of key metrics and trends.
- Support operations in generating accurate forecast reporting
- Design and revise our configuration of NetSuite as needed to meet the needs of the business including the creation of fields, workflow rules, custom reports, save searches, dashboards, and KPIs, etc
- Support users, customizations, and integrations, as well as ad hoc reporting.
- Additional ad hoc requests as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required, advanced certifications are preferred
- Prior experience with and understanding of accounting and finance principles
- 5-7 years of finance and NetSuite experience within a startup environment.
- Initiative-taker with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills and comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
- Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office products
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate technical concepts understandably and concisely.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member, in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
- Good business acumen and an interest in building up business understanding to help connect business needs and challenges to the right technical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills with follow-up is required
- Project management skills to manage external development consultants
- Skilled in data analytics and creating NetSuite reports and saved searches.
- Act as a main point of contact for NetSuite core and integration functionality.
